Sunday 28th June
We landed in Singapore around 14:00 Sunday afternoon with a 4 and a half hour stopover ahead of us. Max and Cath went off to browse, while I grabbed a few shots around the interior of Changi Airport, arguably one of the best international airports in the world. Having said that, I haven’t really visited THAT many international airports, but from all accounts, Changi rates pretty highly.
Our connecting flight to Kuching saw us on the ground in Borneo by around 20:00, in the taxi by 20:30 (Sydney Airport, take a hint!) and at our hotel by 21:00. Our hotel, the Ariva Gateway was billed as 4 star, but we feel that someone was being a bit generous with their ratings. For all that, it was acceptable, and its central location will be a bonus.
We decided not to do any exploring tonight, as we’ve already planned on tomorrow being an “explore Kuching on foot” kind of day.
Can’t wait….
Take me to: day 01
