We left Cordoba fairly early in the morning (at least, early for us… about 8 o’clock) and headed to Seville. We stopped to take a walk through the Royal Alcazar of Seville, which has been made (even more) famous by the TV show, A Game of Thrones. The Royal Alcazar has been used as the location of Sunspear in the Westeros region of Dorn.
The building and the gardens were absolutely amazing and in hindsight, we’re glad we went through the Alcazar of Cordoba before we came to Seville. I think if we’d seen the Royal Alcazar of Seville first, Cordoba would have been a disappointment.
We left Seville just before midday and continued on our way towards Portimao in the Agarve region of Southern Portugal.
After checking into our apartment, our next order of business was to book our boat trip for the following day to go and see the sea caves which pepper the coastline of this region. Looking forward to that!
